  FAA Changes NOTAM Acronym (again)

  As of Feb 10, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) reversed its 2021 decision to change the term to “Notice to Air Missions. The 2021 change under President Biden was designed to make the language “inclusive of all aviators and missions.”

  No rationale was given for this reversal, though some believe it is in response to the wide sweeping federal changes to remove DEI and all related policies and language.
